Cancellation Policy

This policy applies only to bookings for interpreting, support work and tuition. 

 

If a booking is cancelled more than 24 business hours from start time of the booking, no fee is payable. 

 

If a booking is cancelled less than 24 business hours from the start time of the booking, 100% of the fee is payable. 

 

Business hours are Mondays to Fridays 9.00am to 5.00pm (except for public holidays).   

 

All cancellations are to be emailed to admin@strathmorewood.com.au or by text to

0438 480 834.

 

When an interpreter/support worker/tutor attends a confirmed booking and the customer is not online/there, we will contact the customer to find out if the booking is still going ahead. Our staff will wait for 30 minutes, which after this time will be allowed to leave the job. 100% of the fee is still payable. 

 

If the interpreter/support worker/tutor is asked to stay back, it is up to the worker if they can stay back. Charges apply in 15 minutes’ increments beyond the original agreed finishing time.


In the unlikely event that a Strathmore Wood interpreter/support worker/tutor becomes unavailable, all efforts will be made by Strathmore Wood to provide a suitable replacement. The client will be updated accordingly.

Interpreting Employment Policy

Interpreting Employment Policy

Auslan Alliance only employs NAATI* accredited Auslan interpreters. Where interpreters are required to undergo revalidation, Auslan Alliance only employs interpreters who have successfully revalidated.

All Auslan Alliance interpreters are required to supply proof of accreditation and revalidation.

 

*NAATI stands for the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters

Refund Policy

Refund Policy

This policy applies only to workshop or training events. 

 

If a workshop or training event is cancelled by Strathmore Wood, a full refund will be given.

 

Refund requests by participants will not be granted automatically. At the time of booking and payment, you are expected to be aware of your work and personal commitments before you enrol and will need to demonstrate that the cause of withdrawal could not be reasonably anticipated.

 

A full refund will be given if you withdraw at least 7 calendar days before the commencement date of the workshop or training event. 

 

A 50% refund will be given if you withdraw within 7 calendar days before the commencement date.

 

No refund is payable once the workshop or training event has commenced.
